2011 Day at the Capitol - TODAY!

Well the day has finally arrived - the 2011 InterHab Day at the Capitol.  Currently staff and members are gathered in the Senate Room of the Jayhawk Tower eagerly awaiting the start of our Adovcacy Roundtable (also available via WebEx!).  Today's Roundtable will feature special guest, Michael White, Chief of Staff for Senate President, Steve Morris.  We will also give an overview of our plans for the 2011 "Walk a Mile in My Shoes" campaign to raise awarenes for Invisible Kansans.  This year our goal is to "Walk Around the World"!  We'll walk a total of 24, 902 miles - the circumference of the Earth - in an effort to raise awareness for Kansas developmental disabilities issues. 

We've got a great turnout for our Advocacy Roundtable this morning!
